Mobimedia & Idea Music Lounge Take Off In India.

Just a few weeks in from the official announcement of Mobimedia’s latest project — Idea Music Lounge — the Indian market has taken quite a liking to the application.

February has been a successful soft-launch period for the Idea Music Lounge application, and with full marketing activities to commence in the coming months the team anticipates a major increase in both the number of users, as well as usage within the application. The application’s most active user has already streamed a whopping 109 hours of music so far this month — a testament to the huge range of features offered to engage users.

“The reaction from the market has been overwhelmingly positive, with over 100,000 installs in the first few weeks alone."

"Evidence suggests that our users are enjoying the features as well, with the application commanding an average review score higher than music streaming heavyweights Wynk, Saavn, and Gaana on the Google Play store.” said Mobimedia’s Head of Digital, Adam Inglis.

Although still in its infancy, the partnership between Mobimedia and Idea seems to be flourishing alongside strong demand by consumers for data, and music streaming apps in particular.

The application offers a 90-day trial to subscribers but is already a positive revenue generator for Mobimedia, and with 5 more products slated for a Pan-India rollout over the coming months, Mobimedia India has made a solid start to the year.
