Latest hits from top international artists now available on MPT’s Caller Ring Back Tone service
(Yangon, 1 August, 2016) – MPT, the first and leading telecommunications operator in Myanmar, is partnering with digital consumer technology company, Mobimedia International, to offer up the best music from around the globe through its Caller Ring Back Tone (CRBT) service.
The initiative is in appreciation for the continued support from MPT’s 20 million valued customers, who can now choose from a rapidly growing selection of top hit songs from popular international artists like Taylor Swift and Justin Bieber for their ring back tones – that is to say the ringing sounds callers hear while awaiting receivers to pick up.
MPT GSM and WCDMA customers who want to subscribe to the Daily plan or Monthly plan and start listening to their favorite international songs for their calls, simply need to SMS <REG D> to 7979 for daily subscriptions available at Ks. 47/day and SMS <REG M> to 7979 for Monthly subscriptions available at just Ks. 1,050/month.
Customers will be charged for the Daily or Monthly subscription amount, plus any downloaded songs at Ks. 315 which will be retained until the end of the month. CRBT Daily subscriptions expire by the end of the subscribed day at midnight.
Mr. Koichi Kawase, Chief Commercial Officer of MPT-KSGM Joint Operations says: “As part of our commitment to our loyal customers, we are always looking to provide the best local and international content and innovative services through our nationwide network. Myanmar music fans can now enjoy the best international hits, giving them more options for their listening pleasure when they subscribe to our CRBT service.”
MPT is able to bring a massive catalogue of international tunes to its customers by partnering with Mobimedia International, which has exclusive content licenses with Universal Music Group. “We are incredibly excited to be able to roll-out our extensive range of international content with MPT”, says Mobimedia International CEO David van Herwaarde.
Universal Music Group MD Malaysia & Singapore Kenny Ong also comments, “Mobimedia’s focus on emerging markets makes them the ideal partner for us to lead the industry in reaching music fans in Myanmar for the first time ever through new mobile services and other innovative music products.”
